My second Simplicity 2152 skirt – and the first of my Stashbusting Sewalong makes.
The fabric is teal gabardine from ebay, with an interesting black backing which makes a kind of underlining for the skirt. Also makes it a pain to press – still some work to do on that.
I love the panels and pocket placement on this pattern. It’s extremely flattering to a post-Christmas tummy! I’ve worn my navy cord version of this skirt a lot.
My serger (no, can’t get through a post without mentioning it) was so useful for finishing the seams without the bulk of binding them. Speedy too.

Pattern: Simplicity 2152 £0 (used before)
Fabric: Teal gabardine from ebay, £13
Time in fabric stash: 6 months
Total: £13

Fab skirt, I love that colour, I don’t know anybody who doesn’t look good in it. And I feel the need to be honest – I have serger envy! I’m not proud of myself!
I’m sending you ‘buy a serger’ vibes!
lovely skirt! I am wearing my version right now.
Dont you love the pockets? Loving the fabric you chose!
Snap! I’m wearing my navy version. The pockets are lovely, so flattering.
Lovely! Teal is one of my favourite colours – Jacq is right, there’s hardly anyone it doesn’t suit.
I’m still unsure on the serger issue, but you’re slowly convincing me!
I love the pocket placement – very cool design feature!
A nice skirt is seriously (IMO) the best place to inject colour into your wardrobe, isn’t it? I have a royal blue one I wear all the time, styled pretty much just like yours! ^__^
Teal gabardine. I swoon. Love this, especially those pockets. Killer stashbusting, girl!
Whoohoo! What a good stashbuster pattern
Have you worn it much?
It’s a brilliant pattern – have worn it loads!
Lovely skirt! the colour is really pretty. looks like the fit is spot on. Well done!
This skirt is absolutely gorgeous!! I just love the pockets
