My Secret Santa parcel came all the way from Florida!
Gorgeous vintage patterns, buttons and buckles. My favourite is the pink jersey dress pattern on the top – how did you know I’m planning to learn to sew knits next year, Secret Santa?! Thank you to Krafty Kat for organising.
Most of my present making time was spent on this jumper for Mr D, to keep him toasty on our morning walk and in his office. It’s from the Seventh Sublime Aran Handknitting Book. Definitely not knitted in secret…
I used some gorgeous Rowan Tweed, and there was enough left for mittens for me! These are wonderful thick gauntlet mittens, inspired by the ones that Bella wore in the first Twilight film. Free pattern here. The pattern is knitted in the round, but was easy to convert to two straight needles, with DPNs for the thumb. Just reverse the instructions on the odd rows.
There is still time to enter my latest giveaway, winner announced tomorrow!

That jumper is gorgeous – it looks so cosy, as do your mittens.
What a wonderful jumper, I love the yarn you used. Have a Happy New Year
Ooh, that jumper looks fabulous, what an amazing blue….hope he ‘s snuggled up and enjoying it. And your secret Santa gifts are very exciting!!!
